VTP Software: Implementation and Development

The VTP software consists of a set of entirely free and open source applications and libraries.

If you would like to have any of the VTP applications or libraries, contribute to the implementation effort, or leverage the existing source code in your own work, please request the VTP distribution.

Libraries:

The applications are built on the following libraries:

Platforms:

• The main target platforms are Win32, Linux, and Mac OS X. FreeBSD and Irix should work as well.
• Enviro, VTBuilder, vtlib and vtdata have been ported to each platform.  BExtractor would be more difficult to port, since it depends on an obsolete closed-source image processing library which was only available for Win32, and Win32 DIBSections for smooth accurate scrolling of big bitmaps.
